CMPRESSD Beauty was born out of necessity and a little chemistry.
Founder Ramya Viswanathan is a cosmetic chemist and frequent traveler who wanted a luxury shampoo she could take anywhere. Frustrated with bulky bottles and compromised formulas, she developed her own compact, waterless version of the high-performance shampoo she refused to travel without.
She shared the extra samples with friends. The results spoke for themselves: healthier hair, a better washing experience, and bars that quickly replaced bottled shampoo and conditioner as a daily staple in their homes.
That's when CMPRESSD Beauty became more than a personal solution. It became a brand.
